BPF Ring Buffer Microarchitectural Mechanisms

1. 8-Byte Record Header Protocol Every ring buffer record is prefixed by an 8-byte header: a 32-bit length field and two control bits: BPF_RINGBUF_BUSY_BIT (set while the producer is filling fields) and BPF_RINGBUF_DISCARD_BIT (set if aborted). Consumers skip busy records until committed.
2. Double-Mapped Virtual Page Windows By mapping the buffer physical pages into two back-to-back virtual address ranges, pointers can cross the circular wrap boundary without conditional checks. A 512-byte write starting 100 bytes before the buffer end writes linearly into the second mapping.
3. Lock-Free Atomic Reservation Producers reserve memory using atomic64_add() on the producer counter. Multiple CPUs reserve slots concurrently with zero spinlocks, providing massive scale-up across 64+ core server architectures.
